Having a slow start in the studio this year, I needed something to warm me up... to get me moving... to get paint on the canvas... to just start. Origami cranes are a symbol of luck, hope, and healing during challenging times and give me such a warm feeling as they remind me of my boys. They folded origami cranes constantly growing up and left a trail of them everywhere... school, restaurants, grandparents' houses, friends' houses, and OUR HOUSE. The question is can I paint the same thing day after day and keep it interesting and fresh?
Here is my 2023 self challenge Tiny paintings using paint already on my palette... Finish within one hour each day... 100 cranes in 100 days... Let's Go!
